April 27th – May 3rd
National ‘Active SCHOOL Week’ takes place every April and is a really enjoyable part of the school year for many children.
We normally support schools with their activities during Active School Week but this year, because of COVID-19, it is not possible for this to go ahead. We are asking you to invite the families of your school to participate in the ‘Active HOME Week‘ challenge instead.
To complete the challenge children and young people, have to find 4 different ways of being active each day making sure that this adds up to 60 minutes, or more. They are encouraged to try something NEW, have FUN with a family activity and ENJOY the week!
Roscommon Sports Partnership have a jam packed schedule of activities for you to try on our Facebook page and YouTube channel.
Watch out for:
10am 10@10 Skills Challenge – we encourage kids to watch our skills challenge and try replicate it if possible for 10 minutes or more!
1pm each day various resources from Active School Week, our own GAA fundamentals with Jenny, PE @ Home etc.
4pm Dance Challenges with Trisha McDermott (Mon Wed Fri)
6pm Activities for all the family including Boxing, Active Age, Inclusive activities etc.
Remember we have a competition running too – so get out the camera and submit your photos or videos to be in with a chance of winning our amazing prizes! The post is pinned on our Facebook page!
