Roscommon Community Challenge 2024 🏃‍♀️📢Training begins on January 3rd at 7 PM, continuing every Monday and Wednesday for 8 weeks. The training fee does not cover the entry fee for the main event. The Main Event will feature 5K and 8K routes designed to accommodate both walkers and runners. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵🌳👏We concluded our Woodlands for Health initiative with a memorable day at St. John's Wood in Lecarrow. This woodland stands as a rare primary ancient forest, having been continuously present on this site since the last Ice Age. The day and the programme culminated with lunch at Hannon's Hotel, where we also conducted a certificate presentation and provided a goodies pack for all participants who completed the 12-week woodland walks. The programme aims to boost mental well-being through guided woodland walks. 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️The programme provides a sustainable connection with nature, proving its role in supporting mental health.
