Roscommon Sports Partnership is a leading agency in the coordination of sport and physical activity opportunities for people with a disability.
In line with our current strategy, we strive to collaborate with our partners to coordinate quality, meaningful and worthwhile experiences for people of all abilities across Roscommon to keep active.
Our Sports Inclusion Disability Officer works to support people with a disability and local communities to get more active.
The national physical activity guidelines details that adults with disabilities should be as active as their ability allows and aim to meet adult guidelines of at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity activity 5 days a week.
All people with disabilities should be active in some capacity in order to gain some health benefits. It is important to choose activities appropriate to your ability and you may need to talk to your doctor about what sort of activity you are able to do.
