Roscommon Sports Partnership extends its heartiest congratulations to our tutor Daire Feeley. On Sunday 19th June, Daire broke a 14 year gap to become the first Irish man since 2008 to win Rás Tailteann. Riding with the Cork – All Human Velo Revolution Team, Daire gained the lead following Friday’s stage and retained his yellow jersey on Saturday and Sunday finishing with an advantage of 51 seconds to become the overall winner.
Daire is a very dedicated and tutor here at RSP, mainly delivering cycling programmes such as our Cycle Right programme, our TY On Yer Bike programme, and Learn to Cycle. Among other programmes Daire is involved with are our multi-activity sports camps and the training for our annual Roscommon Community Challenge.
Daire was back working with us this week, delivering cycling training to primary school children and talking to them about his recent success! Well done Daire!
